Statement
Inspired by images, I often use photography as a tool to document my surroundings. Memories are catalogued. Although a photograph may never be referenced following its capture, elements recorded in these visual histories seem to find their way into my work. Fragments of form, line, and contrasts of light and dark are unintentionally reimagined, reordered and rebuilt. Whether it is paint, canvas, paper, a scrap that is used as a template or repurposed as a featured element, my work is an exploration of materials, process and memory.
I find beauty in parts of the whole. My work is a reflection of these memories.
